1. Introduction: Why I Am Starting This Blog
My name is Zedrick Garrison, and I am just getting started with building an online business.
I decided to start this blog because I want to document my learning process from the beginning, rather than trying to figure everything out in silence. I have spent time researching different ways to make money online, and instead of jumping from one idea to another, I now want to focus on one clear direction and learn it properly.
This blog is not about showing results or pretending I have everything figured out. It is simply a place for me to share what I am learning, what I am trying, and what is actually making sense as I go.
Right now, I am at the start of my journey, and I want to keep things honest, simple, and realistic.

2. Why I Chose Affiliate Marketing
After looking into different online business models, I chose affiliate marketing because it felt like one of the more straightforward ways to begin.
I do not have to create my own product, handle customer support, or build everything from scratch. Instead, I can focus on learning how to promote existing offers and understand how people make decisions online.
What stood out to me most is that affiliate marketing is really about learning a process:
how to get attention, how to share value, and how to connect people with something useful.
It also made sense to me that I do not need to be an expert to start. I just need to be willing to learn and apply things step by step.
I am aware that it is not a quick or guaranteed path. It still takes effort, learning, and consistency, but it feels like a more practical starting point than some of the other things I looked into.

3. Why List Building Matters to Me
One of the biggest things I have learned so far is the importance of building an email list.
At first, I did not fully understand why this mattered. But the more I learned, the more it made sense that relying only on sending traffic directly to affiliate links is not the best long-term approach.
If someone clicks a link and leaves, that opportunity is gone.
But if I can build a list, I can stay in contact with people over time. That means I am not starting from zero every day. I am building something I actually control.
The idea that stood out to me is simple:
The list is an asset.
Even if I do not fully understand everything yet, I can see that this gives me a better foundation than just trying to get random clicks and hoping for results.
This shift in thinking is one of the main reasons I decided to take this path more seriously.

4. Why I Joined The ClickBank Profit Club
As I was trying to understand how to actually apply affiliate marketing simply, I came across The ClickBank Profit Club.
What interested me was not hype or big promises, but the structure behind it. It focuses on building an email list first, while also learning how to promote affiliate offers in a more organised way.
It includes training, a setup process, follow-up email content, and a clearer path to follow instead of trying to piece everything together alone.
For me, the biggest benefit is not having to guess what step comes next all the time. As a beginner, that confusion can slow things down a lot.
I also like that the model is built around the idea of follow-up. I am starting to understand that people do not always make decisions on the first click, and having a system that allows communication over time makes more sense.
At the same time, I am not treating this as a shortcut or an easy win. I see it as a framework that can help me learn the basics properly while I build my skills.

5. What I Will Be Doing Next
Right now, my focus is on getting the foundations right.
That includes:
* Learning how to create simple content that can attract attention
* Understanding how traffic works on social media
* Learning how email lists are built and maintained
* Following the training step by step instead of rushing ahead
* Testing and adjusting as I go
I am not trying to do everything at once. I am more focused on building consistency and understanding each part properly.
This blog will also be part of that process. I plan to document what I learn, what I struggle with, and what starts to make sense along the way.
The goal is not perfection. It is progress and clarity over time.
